Death of Lease Holder with Occupant Policy
In the event of a Lease holder’s death:
We will charge rent and fees until we regain possession of the apartment. (Once keys are returned)
Any rent and fees past that time will be waived., The security deposit will be retained. Any charges incurred prior to the residents passing, or any damages exceeding the security deposit, will be charged to the estate.
If there is a subsequent lease holder/occupant still living, and they request to default/break lease, they will have to provide documentation that they do not qualify to remain on the lease, based on income and or credit.
Once that is provided and proves to not meet our qualifications, we will approve to expire the lease, and charge them through date of possession. Any charges incurred prior, or any damages exceeding the security deposit will be charged to the living lease holder.
